My Top 5 Free Apps for Windows RT

The Windows 8/RT App Store is slowly gaining some momentum, but as I stated earlier it's a little tough to tell what the real "must have" apps are.

Let's start by getting the obvious ones out of the way:
* Skype is truly a home run for Windows RT. I've used it a bunch so that my parents in Minnesota and sister in California can see our son. I'd say this is one of those apps that make you forget and sometimes even loathe the desktop version
* Netflix - again, the minimalist design and user interface of this app is what the original Netflix.com website is trying to accomplish, but better
* Google/Bing apps - in the end these two apps are basically just front pages that will lead you back to Internet Explorer, but they have a couple of extra features that make them nice to have: instant previews, search by speech, image previews, what's trending, etc.
* Kindle - need I say more?

Okay, now for my personal top 5:

* Overdrive Media Console - Overdrive lets you download audiobooks and e-books from libraries, as long as you have the appropriate library card. While you may have to wait for the more popular titles, it really does put the entire library into your hands. 19,000 libraries use Overdrive to distribute their e-collections.
* News Bento - there's a news app that comes pre-loaded on the Surface, but News Bento is great not just because it's beautiful, but because it links up to my Google reader account. News Bento also starts with some popular feeds pre-loaded like The Atlantic, The Economist, Freakonomics, etc.
* Reddit to Go - This is great for any reddit lover because it loads everything up in two windows: one with the links, and the other that instantly shows what was being linked. No having to flip back and forth or open up new tabs.
* Quick Note - If you're looking for a simple note taking app, this is the one. The only thing it's missing is a sync feature. Other than that this is the perfect note taking app.
* Trackpad Settings - I find it slightly silly that I'm listing this on here because it's such a simple app, but it really is nice to be able to switch the scroll direction on your trackpad without having to pull off some kind of registry edit.

I'll keep this list updated as new and better apps come out, but for now these are my top 5
